Everything you need to know about restoration, the process, and what to expect from Aqua-Pro.
Our dispatchers are available 24/7 and we guarantee on-site arrival within 60–90 minutes throughout our service area. For severe flooding or fire damage, we prioritize those calls and typically arrive faster. Call (855) 229-9998 the moment damage occurs.
Most standard homeowner's and commercial property insurance policies cover sudden and accidental water damage (burst pipe, appliance failure, storm intrusion) and fire damage. Gradual leaks and flood damage from rising water typically require separate coverage. We'll help you understand your policy and document everything your adjuster needs for approval.
Yes. We have established relationships with major insurance carriers and their preferred adjusters throughout the NYC metro area. We provide detailed moisture logs, photo documentation, drying reports, and Xactimate-formatted estimates that streamline the claims process. In many cases, we can bill your insurance directly.
Structural drying typically takes 3–5 days depending on the extent of saturation, materials affected, and environmental conditions. We monitor moisture levels daily and provide documented readings. Reconstruction (replacing drywall, flooring, etc.) is scheduled after complete drying — we can coordinate this as well.
Yes — this is one of the most common and costly mistakes. Consumer-grade fans and dehumidifiers cannot dry structural cavities, wall assemblies, or subfloor materials adequately. Moisture trapped inside walls creates the ideal conditions for mold growth within 24–48 hours. Professional drying equipment penetrates these areas where consumer equipment cannot reach.
Yes. We guarantee that all affected materials will be dried to IICRC S500 moisture targets before we close out a job. If moisture readings are not at target, we extend drying at no additional charge. Our goal is to prevent secondary damage, not just stop visible water.
First, shut off the water source if possible and safe to do so. Cut power to affected areas if there is any risk of electrical hazard. Call us immediately — do not wait to see if it dries on its own. Remove valuables and irreplaceable items from affected areas if it's safe. Do not use a vacuum cleaner on standing water. Document damage with photos for your insurance claim.
Do not re-enter until the fire marshal clears the property. Do not turn on HVAC or fans — this spreads soot throughout the entire structure. Do not wipe or clean soot yourself — improper cleaning permanently sets stains into surfaces. Do not throw anything away before your insurance adjuster has documented the loss. Call us as soon as the property is cleared.
Visible mold growth is the most obvious sign, but mold often grows hidden inside walls, under flooring, or in HVAC systems. Warning signs include a persistent musty or earthy smell, recent water damage that wasn't professionally dried, allergy symptoms that improve when you leave the building, or discoloration on walls or ceilings. When in doubt, call for a free inspection.
Absolutely. We have extensive experience restoring commercial properties including office buildings, retail spaces, restaurants, warehouses, multi-family residential buildings, and medical facilities. We understand the urgency of minimizing business interruption and can work around your operational schedule when possible.
We serve all five boroughs of New York City (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island), Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island, all of New Jersey, Connecticut, Westchester County, and Rockland County. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, call us — we may still be able to help.
Yes. All of our technicians hold current IICRC certifications and are fully insured. Our company carries general liability insurance and workers' compensation. We can provide certificates of insurance upon request — something we recommend verifying with any restoration contractor.
